New surf clip "Good Times Bad Times" by Tiago Pires (Saca)

Today I want to show you the new surf clip featuring Tiago Pires, the first and only Portuguese ever in the Dream Tour of Surfing.

"Good Times Bad Times" shows black and white tube riding scenes that makes you out of breath. Those scenes were taken from the best places around the world such as Java, Tahiti and Coxos, Portugal.

About this new short movie, Saca says that (with my translation) "Life in the World Tour is made of ups and downs. In between not so good results and some frustations, we could not let unspoken moments where one is having fun, doing the thing we like the most. This video shows some of those good moments".

This article was adapted and translated from Surf Portugal. Enjoy!

Meditation for beginners!

Do you find yourself rushing through your thoughts without finding the solution to your "problems"? Have you ever tried to meditate? I start practicing in the 1st of January, and its one of my main goals for 2014. So far, it's not been easy. While you are sitting quiet focused on your breath, a lot of thoughts come in and its difficult to concentrate on your task. Don't feel bad about it, it is just normal. I found a simple guide for beginner meditators, which you can find HERE. Give it a try, and give yourself time! Life changes are not accomplished in one day!

Have a great 2014! RIP Andy Irons

The first post of 2014...Today I want to share with some of you who might be reading this, one of the best videos I watched in my entire life. RIP Andy Irons.

This year, get your resolutions done! Define clear objectives for 2014 and don't forget, major changes in life are not accomplished in one day, one month, not even one year. Give yourself time to change, pick just one of your 2014 goals at a time and become fully committed to it. Don't rush!

This year I took a serious analysis to who I want to be by the year's end, and I'm going to start simple. I am going to learn how to meditate in January.

Live your life to the fullest! Live with passion!

Mick Fanning, the 2013 World Champion of Surfing

This week, the 32 years-old and Australian Mick Fanning, won his 3rd World Tour Championship of Surf in an outstanding performance held at Pipeline, Hawaii. Despite having won the Pipeline Masters, Kelly Slater could not ensure his 12th World Title. John John Florence also had an awesome performance, winning the 2013 Vans Triple Crown and beating the current World Champion Mick Fanning on the semi-final.

With this World Title, Mick Fanning puts himself side by side with the legends Tom Curren and Andy Irons, with 3 World Championships each.

The Portuguese Frederico Morais is also doing great, having achieved the 2013 Vans Triple Crown, Rookie of the Year. He is the second european to achieve such title, after the Portuguese Tiago Pires, which is currently a member of the WCT.

I leave you with this awesome Rip Curl video, about Mick Fanning's third title. Stay Locus!!
